Druk Path Trek
It is a 6 days Trek, goes to high altitude and is moderately strenuous. The Trek route passes through some beautiful High Altitude Lakes. It starts from Paro and ends in Thimphu. It is a popular Trek route. The highest point is 4210 Meters. The best time for this trek: Feb, March, April, May, June- Sept, Oct, and November.

Day 01: Arrive Paro
Arrive Paro and transfer to hotel. O/N in Paro.
Day 02: Excursion to Taktshang.
Drive to Satsam Chorten and from there walk up to Taktsang Monastery.
Day 03: Paro – Jele Dzong
The trekking begins above the National Museum; we climb till we reach camp. If the weather is clear the Paro valley and the snow-capped mountains can be seen. The campsite is near the old Jele Dzong.
Day 04: Jele Dzong – Jangchulakha
The trek starts with a short climb and then passes through a thick alpine forest of rhododendron and gradually climbs till we reach camp.The Yaks on winter graze in the pastures around the path, you may see yak herders around your campsite.
Day 05 : Jangchulakha – Jimilngtso
The trail follows the ridge of the mountains and on a clear day, one can get the spectacular views of the mountains and valleys are beautiful. Our camp is close to Lake Jimilangtso. These lakes are known for their giant sized trout, and if lucky, you may enjoy well-prepared trout for dinner.
Day 06: Jimilangtso – Semkotha
The trail goes through dwarf rhododendron trees and passes by the lake of Janetsho. One may come across some yak herders’ camps and one can see to how they live. Camp is close to Simkotha Lake.
Day 07: Semkotha – Phanjoding
The trek begins with a gradual climb and if the weather permits one will get a beautiful view of Mount Gangkhar Punsum, the highest mountain in Bhutan and other Himalayan mountains from Doupchula Pass. The path gradually descends till Phajoding, where the monastery and the retreat centers for meditation are located.
Day 09: Phajoding – Thimphu
The trail to Thimphu goes down hill through the blue pine forests. It takes about 3 – 4hours to reach Thimphu.
Day 09: Thimphu Sightseeing
Visit the major touristic places of Thimphu. Take rest and O/N in Thimphu.
Day 10: Final Departure:
Transfer to Airport for onward destination.
