This tour offers fun-filled adventurous journey around cultural heritages and historical places of Lhasa plus route of Samye chimpu, tsedang. Two blissful days are packaged in your trip for exploring the charismatic wonders of Lhasa. Lhasa, most popularly known as "Sunlight City", is regarded as the heart and soul of Tibet and hence is the number one tourist destination in Tibet. Visits to white and ochre fortress of Potala Palace and Jokhang temple can be quite spiritually rejuvenating experience. Potala Palace is a UNESCO world heritage and features an overwhelming array of intricate murals, temples, stupas, tombs of eight past Dalai Lamas, exquisite Tibetan Mandalas and other relics of Tibetan history. Jokhang temple lying 2 km to the east is another Tibetan religious site. If you wish to glimpse into Tibetan culture, what could be more insightful than exploring Barkhor markets! As you wander around the markets, you witness Tibetan arts, culture, custom and tradition. With so much to see and explore in Lhasa, this will truly be an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary Detail

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Arrival and transfer to hotel. A short briefing on the program after refreshment.

Days 02: Kathmandu
Kathmandu Sightseeing to the major world heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley. O/N at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu
Halfday sightseeing tours in kathmandu and proceson Tibet visa & permit.

Day 04: Flight to Lhasa
Flight to Tibet Airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 05: Lhasa
Full day explorations on Samye Yambulakharka Palace and Tombs of Tibet Kings and after back to hotel.

Day 06: Shigatse
Driving to Shigatse via the Yamlung Tsangpo gorge for excursions and back to hotel.

Day 07: Visit to Tashilbunpo Monastery
In the morning and drive 90km. to Gaungste in the afternoon. On the way visit Shalu Temple and overnight at hotel.

Day 08: A sightseeing tour to Polkhor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa.
After drive 280 km. towards the Holy City Lhasa via Karola Pass 5015m. including Lake Yamdrok and Kambala Pass and overnight stay at hotel.

Days 09: Two full day explorations
Bhakhor Market, Jolkhang Temple, and Potala Palace, Drepung & Sera Monasteries and stay at hotel.

Day 10: Flight to Kathmandu
Transfer to Gonggar Airport Lhasa Airpirt and fly back to Kathmandu transfer to hotel check-in and in the evening a farewell dinner.

Day 11: Final Departure
Transfer from hotel to the airport for the final departure.
