Overview
Everest Base Camp Trek
The Everest Base Camp…when the earth kisses the sky…
The Everest Base Camp trek, a very well known Himalaya trek, starts at the upper Phakding and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche, a bustling bazaar that’s a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the mighty Mt. Everest. All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.
We trek up to 5,631m for an upfront view of the world’s highest mountain – Mt Everest. Visit Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes, experience authentic Sherpa culture, & walk into famous Buddhist monasteries nestled in the quiet of these magnificent mountains.
The Everest area of Nepal is famous due to the exploits of mountaineers such as Hillary, Tenzing, Bonnington, Messner and Macartney-Snape. These climbers have histories as tall as the mountains. The Sherpa people, who inhabit Khumbu, as the area is called, are well-known for their cheerful hospitality. This trek takes you to their colorful vibrant villages & serene monasteries, offering a wonderful opportunity for cultural interaction.
The pace of this trek is slow and easy to allow trekkers to acclimatize in the high altitude and to absorb the stunning scenery of the area. You won’t be carrying a heavy pack either as our local carew carry your belongings. We stay in comfortable Sherpa lodges so there’s no camping on this trek unless you want it otherwise. This is an awe inspiring and unforgettable adventurous sojourn and justifiably regarded as one of the top 10 walks in the world. Do this venture & discover yourself; for such is the power of nature at its original best in this part of the planet. is one of the world’s most awe-inspiring sights and an Everest base camp trek the a perfect adventure.
